Blackledge Falls. Glastobury, CT
Depending upon the water level, the short .4 mile easy walk to these falls provides the viewer 2-3 plunges over a 15-25 foot ledge. Swimming or wading is not applicable, however with these falls standing beneath them may be refreshing.
From exit 8 off Rt-2 in Glastonbury, follow Rt-94 east, in 3.6 miles you’ll cross Rt-83, continue straight on Rt-94 an additional 4 miles. On you left, as your going down hill you’ll see an improved parking area for the falls. If you cross the Hebron town line you’ve gone to far and come back .5 mile. Follow the Blue blazes staying on the “main “ trail, you should be walking away from the pond. The trail starts to ascend a slight and easy slope. Shortly, the falls will be down and over on your left. A very small and weathered sign is easily missed. Allow 45 minutes round trip.
