Robert E. Tetreault *** U.S. Navy *** 1986-1990

 

Rob served as a Petty Officer 3rd Class on the U.S.S. Juneau (LPD-10.) Known as a "Oil King," his speciality included monitoring and ensuring fuel oil, boiler or drinking water purity and the miles of piped systems which transferred these precious liquids at sea. The U.S.S. Juneau responded to the massive oil spill by the Exxon Tanker Valdez in April 1988 and as a Landing Platform Dock a central location during the clean up process. Served from June 1986 to September 1990.
