John M. Henderek *** U.S. Air Force *** Vietnam 1970-1971.

 

After Basic and Technical training John landed at Tan Son Nhut Air Base in Saigon, Vietnam in April of 1970. As an Avionic Technician with the 377th Combat Support Group he maintained and calibrated the flight and fire control systems of aircraft such as Phantom F-4's and F-101 "VooDoo's." His Instamatic documentation provides a glimpse of barracks life, its splendor and a few other shots of the neighborhood.
