Negro Hill Brook. Burlington, CT
Located within the Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area in Burlington and is located about halfway around the Beaver Dam trail, a 3 mile dirt road loop trail. Head south out of the parking area hiking clockwise and after 1.2 miles at the top of a hill, there on the left, a spur trail descends a series of steps to the falls 100 yards below. The hike was slightly moderate, the reward is a trio of waterfalls each delicately squeezing through a blacken granite boulder barrier. Along the way, interpretive signs describe the flora, fauna and geological feature associated with the area.
From Rt-8 in Plymouth take exit 39 and head east on Rt-6 for 6.8 miles, to where in Burlington Rt-69 heads north. Stay on Rt-69 N for 3.6 miles, the wildlife areas entrance will be on your left. Allow 2 hours for round trip.
