Yantic Falls. Norwich, CT

Part dam and part natural geological formation makes these falls rather unique. We were warned that we would be disappointed in the falls character. Not the case, the falls 35-40 foot high and twice that wide were roaring creating a vivid rainbow within the mist that drifted across an equally magnificent chasm. | ||||||||||
In Norwich where Rt-2 ends with the intersection of Rt-169 and Washington Street, follow Washington Street south for .6 of a mile. Turn right onto Sachem Street, down to the 4th left .25 mile and turning onto Yantic Street , another .1 of a mile and a sharp turn to the left and you’ll see the small parking area and wrought iron fencing. Walk back up from the parking area for the foot bridge. |
