Welton Falls is located in Alexamdria. There are two entry points to the falls, one from the AMC Lodge at the base of Mt. Cardigan which to the falls is 1.2 miles. The other, from the east and begins by taking Rt-3A north out of Bristol for 2 miles, turn left onto West Shore Road at lights, you should be on the south shore of Newfound Lake. Travel 2. 5 miles, ( West Shore Rd turns into Ragged Mt. Road after 1.2 miles) at the fork bear right onto Fowler River Road and follow for 3. 8 miles, bear right onto North River Road for . 1 of a mile and shortly turn left onto Welton Falls Road. Follow this road for 1.2 miles until you reach the junction of Welton Falls and Cream Hill Road, stay straightish, Welton Falls road turns into dirt. Park before the old logging bridge. The falls are . 6 mile from here cross the old bridge and look for a left turn in about . 2 of a mile. This will bring you down to Clark Brook, the falls are up stream . 3 of a mile, one must cross the brook to continue, the brook is easy to cross with many rocks and usually low water level. Allow 1 hour round trip.
