John J. Donnelly *** U.S. Navy Air Corps *** 1944-1955

 

John's career with the U.S. Navy started in 1944 during WWII. From 1946 to 1948 he was part of the Military Air Transport, VR-3 squadron and during the Korean War VC-11 on the aircraft carrier the U.S.S. Boxer as a crew chief on AD-3W "Skyraider's " or "Guppies" distinguished by their large anti-submarine radar dome.
