After Basic
Training at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland, he became a
rifleman with the 11th Armored Division of the 3rd Army. He battled
in the Rhinelands and Central Germany, 1944-1945. In Austria,
the 11th Armored Division liberated Mathausen Lager Concentration
Camp and he photographed the tyranny that the Nazi's Third Riech
truly represented. He was discharged in 1946 at Fort Devons.
