Philip J. Dippolt Jr. *** U.S. Air Force *** Vietnam 1967-1968

 

 

Entering the USAF in April of 1962 Phil was stationed in Taiwan with TDY assignments in Vietnam. Then with the 10th Tactical Reconnaissance Wing, R.A.F. Alconbury, England. Returning to Phu Cat, Vietnam in March 1967, Philip was assigned to the 37th Combat Support Group security while the USAF Red Horse Construction Engineers build Phu Cat Air Base. Impromptu street scenes of Qui Nonh, special events (USO shows) and daily routine are captured by his SLR camera. He was honorably discharged in April 1968 as a Ssgt.
