Karman H-43B "Huskie"

The inter-meshing twin rotor system and flight servo systems was a unique design by Charles H. Karman. After several prototypes the U. S. Air Force found interest and designated 190 aircraft as the H-43 "Huskie" being flown December 1958. Also known as "Pedro" the craft was extremely stable in flight. Many versions were specially outfitted by the Air Force Crash Control in a Fire Suppression and Rescue aircraft role. Powered by a turbo shaft engine it has a maximum air speed of 110 mph and a range of 235 miles.
