In need of protecting their supply convoys, Armored Personnel Carriers vehicles like
"King Cobra" were created. This one uses the M-113 APC body and its 50mm and 30 caliber machine gun turrets mounted onto the bed of a 2.5 ton, 6x6 wheel drive, Mack truck.

This Jeep has your basic M-60 machine gun mount, but the armored windshield and beefed up steel body is very unique. The 4x4 wheel drive provided an on or off road offense to Viet Cong small arm attacks.
